The Oxford History of English Literature is reissued in its entirety. For the purposes of the reissue certain of the volumes have been retitled and the series has been renumbered. `.. excellent survey of the subject by a well-known scholar and is particularly useful in that it covers areas which are otherwise rather neglected.
