Jeanne Willis wrote her first book aged five and has now written over 300 titles. She has won numerous awards, including the Children's Book Award, the Silver Smarties Prize and has been shortlisted for the Whitbread Award. As well as her extensive writing experience Jeanne once worked as a reptile vet's assistant, has owned just about every pet you can think of, breeds exotic beetles and fosters hedgehogs. She has never performed in an animal talent show but she did get married at London Zoo.
Isabella Grott was born in Rovereto in the province of Trento. After graduating from the Alessandro Vittoria Art Institute in Trento, she moved to Florence, Italy to pursue a bachelor's degree in Pictorial Decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts. She then enrolled in the NEMO Academy of Digital Arts where she studied illustration and graduated in 2010. She currently collaborates with the Academy as an illustration teacher at the E-DESIGN course.
In 2015 he won the literary prize IL BATTELLO A VAPORE for illustrators.
To date, she collaborates with several publishing houses between Italy and abroad.
A curious and restless illustrator, she loves to change technique often to experiment with new possibilities, and is a great lover of pencils, watercolors and collage. She loves to "make mistakes ' because as the generous Rodari said 'Sbagliando s'inventa!" |
