A Colonel Menendez from Cuba fears his life is in danger after a bat wing was nailed to his door. He believes somebody is haunting him, so therefore hires Paul Harvey, private investigator and British Empire political consultant. Harley and his companion Knox go to Menendez's estate to investigate and get mixed up in a web of voodoo, magic and murder.
