Violet Oaklander (1927-2021) obtuvo un doctorado en Psicologia y dos grados de maestri¿a: uno en Orientaciön Matrimonial, Familiar e Infantil, y otro en Educacion Diferencial de ninos emocionalmente afectados y con trastornos de aprendizaje. Fue directora del Centro de Terapia para Ninos y Adolescentes de Hermosa Beach, California, y fue directora del Instituto Violet Oaklander, dedicado a la supervision y entrenamiento de personas que trabajan con ninos. Se entrenó en el Instituto de Terapia Gestaltica de Los Angeles y fue miembro oficial de este desde 1973.

Violet Oaklander (1927-2021) earned a Ph.D. in Psychology and two master's degrees: one in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, and one in Differential Education of emotionally affected children and with learning disorders. She was director of the Child and Adolescent Therapy Center in Hermosa Beach, California, and was director of the Violet Oaklander Institute, dedicated to the supervision and training of people who work with children. She trained at the Institute of Gestational Therapy of Los Angeles and was an official member of it since 1973.
