50s Vintage Dame is a Sydney-based creative director, illustrator and graphic designer who loves to create vintage-style artwork. With a love for all things mid-century and a 1950s home filled with furniture and knick knacks from that era Sue is surrounded by sophisticated, kitsch and colourful inspiration. With over 25 years of industry experience, her career has covered book and magazine design, editorial, product, packaging, apparel, illustration, logo and corporate design, brochures and stationery and websites. Her clients have covered the full gamut from small start-up businesses, independent artists, to large corporate clients and publishing companies. Sue loves to replicate the style of mid century advertising design and artwork in her illustration projects,and has a keen interest in vintage typography. Sue's passion and thorough knowledge of historical design styles and printing techniques, gives her work a depth and authenticity.

He was the recipient of a 2015 Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellowship and was Highly Commended for the 2017 Scribe Nonfiction Prize.
He was previously the editor of Art Guide Australia, assistant editor of Smith Journal and a senior writer at The Thousands.
