Richard Price is the author of twelve books, including an earlier work on the Saramaka people, the award-winning First Time: The Historical Vision of an Afro-American People. He is coeditor, with Sally Price, of John Gabriel Steadman's Narrative of a Five Year Expedition against the Revolted Negroes of Surinam. He has taught at Stanford, Yale, Johns Hopkins, Minnesota, and the University of Paris. Sally Price is professor of anthropology at the Johns Hopkins University. She has co-written Afro-American Arts of the Suriname Rain Forest and Co-wives and Calabashes. |
