In a snug little cottage tucked into a leafy hedgerow, where kettles whistle softly and teacups clink with comfort, lives Mrs Hedgehog - and all she wants at the end of a very long day is one small, peaceful thing...
A quiet cup of tea.
But peace, as it turns out, is surprisingly hard to find.
The clock ticks.
The rain patters.
The cat taps his tail.
The baby bounces.
The birds chirp. The bees buzz. A dog barks in the distance.
Everywhere Mrs Hedgehog goes, the world is full of life, sound, and joyful noise.
So she wanders from room to room - the cosy sitting room, the plant-filled conservatory, the tidy bedroom, the splishy-splashy bathroom, even out into the garden - teacup always in hand, hope always in her heart - searching for a moment of calm.
Until at last, she finds it...
And discovers that sometimes, the quiet we think we need is not the quiet we actually want.
