Pema Chödrön is an American Buddhist nun and one of the foremost students of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, the renowned Tibetan meditation master. Pema is resident teacher at Gampo Abbey in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, the first Tibetan monastery in North America established for Westerners. Pema is widely regarded as one of the preeminent spiritual teachers in the West and is the author of many bestselling books, including When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times, Comfortable with Uncertainty, The Places That Scare You, Welcoming the Unwelcome, and Living Beautifully with Uncertainty and Change.
