Originally from New Milford, New Jersey, Arindam Krishna Das discovered a passion for music at an early age that would shape the course of his life. He honed his musical talents at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy before earning a full audition-based scholarship to the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where he studied Music Performance. After settling in Santa Cruz, California, he became a vibrant presence in the local arts community; he produced, directed, and served as music director for numerous musical theatre productions throughout Santa Cruz County, sharing his love of storytelling and performance with audiences of all ages. A devoted spiritual practitioner, Arindam received both Hari Nama and second initiation from his beloved Guru, Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj. His lifelong spiritual journey deeply informs his poetry and music, inspiring themes of compassion, transcendence, self-discovery, and the interconnectedness of all life. Arindam is the proud father of four gifted children and the delighted grandfather of a wonderful young granddaughter, who continue to inspire his creative and spiritual path.
