A practical and useful guide, it is based on actual working experiences in art. For the beginner there is information on supplies, equipment, studio space and how to start that first painting. Marcia Muth, a successful self-taught artist, has exhibited throughout the county. Her paintings are in private and corporate collections and in the collection of the Museum of New Mexico. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
